Natalia 'Nat' was born and raised in Poland. She fell deeply in love with healing herbs while hitchhiking through rural Europe and working on a permaculture farm. She gleaned many lessons from elders, taking notes in small handmade books. After graduating from Wild Seed School of Herbal Studies in BC she continued into more self education, centering on bioregional herbalism, desiring to connect to ancestral knowledge held in the land she calls home. Wether its Prince Edward Island, British Columbia or Poland, she dreams every day of weaving the magic of the forest, meadows, mountains and seas; the quiet and the healing into every bottle of medicine. Crafting potent and abundant local plants into in a new light from which one may draw ease and heal.
Panatea Apothecary is Nats expression of Panacea, the Greek Goddess of universal healing. We are rooted in deep respect and reverence to the earth and the abundance of the region we live in. Therefore we believe in wildcrafting with care and attention to the eco system, taking only small amounts and only when there is an abundance. We farm vegetables with no-till and organic practices on half an acre and have an extensive herb garden . We grow there plants that would not be native to our region like Tulsi or Spilanthes as well as all the other much loved roots and flowers.
